Gardner-based New England Peptide LLC is developing a quality management system in preparation for ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System registration.

New England Peptide is in the process of documenting and standardizing all of the quality control processes and procedures involved in the manufacturing of the company's products. All company employees will undergo training in policies, procedures and work instructions in line with ISO standards.

The company, which makes custom peptides for the drug and vaccine industry, said the new system will complement its lean manufacturing program. It expects to be ISO certified in about nine months.

ISO is an international standard for quality management.

Testimonials

"Over the past 8 years we have used NEP for synthesis of many hundreds of peptides. The quality of NEP’s product is consistently very high. The company is deeply knowledgeable in all aspects of peptide synthesis, highly collaborative, and keenly interested in meeting the changing needs of their customers with respect to scale and formatting for delivery of peptides. One example is their flash-purified product which meets the need for initial draft-level evaluation without breaking the bank. Our experience with NEP’s antibody production capabilities has also been very good..."
