Antibody Options

Quite often, our customers like the material they receive from us so much that they want more than is provided with the original project agreement. That is why we always keep our animals alive after project completion (unless instructed otherwise), and give you two weeks to test your received material before any additional charges begin to accumulate.

Some researchers also need to use their antibodies in capture assays or EM experiments, hence the option to conjugate your antibody to biotin or colloidal gold. Let us make your life easier!

Buffer Formulation

Purified antibodies are de facto supplied in PBS (pH7.4) only, in case you need to work with additive-free material. This is not their most stable conformation, however. Therefore, upon request, we will add any combination of 0.05% NaN3, 1% BSA, and 30% glycerol in order to aid in stability at no charge to you. Using glycerol is an excellent choice as the bulk antibody material remains liquid when stored at -20oC, thereby eliminating freeze-thaw complications that could affect the stability. In our experience, stability is just as important as initial quality.
